Top 5 Jersey Shore Beach Engagement Spots

Asbury Park Boardwalk & Beach

Asbury Park beach and boardwalk has an amazing mix of historic buildings, beach, and jetties which would make any engagement very exciting. After engagement sessions, I highly recommend grabbing a beer, ice cream, or boardwalk food to support all those local businesses. Also a great way to get to know your amazing clients better :)

Parking is very affordable and I recommend using Asbury’s parking app to make it super convenient. A good starting point is anywhere along the boardwalk strip. Personally, I park near The Watermark (amazing bar that overlooks the beach).

Hungry after your engagement session? I’ll list my personal top five spots.

Pizza | Talulas has an amazing mix of unique pizza’s and cocktails.

Breakfast | Toast. Breakfast + brunch lovers rejoice! Go here, seriously.

Icecream | Cookman Creamery . Best icecream hands down.

Drinks | The Beach Bar . The best beach bar in town overlooking the water.

Food | Brickwall Tavern . You can’t go wrong with a burger + beer. Amazing.

Point Pleasant Beach & Boardwalk

Point Pleasant has a beautiful boardwalk with a unique summer beach vibe. I usually start off my sessions near Jenkinson’s Aquarium as a good landmark. Many boardwalk game spots + arcades are really nice about taking photos to add to the unique experience. And of course, you definitely need to check out Point Pleasant Beach. The beach itself is gorgeous and the photos always come out incredibly beautiful. And I HIGHLY recommend bringing clothes you’re willing to get wet. Check out the fun candid water shots below, they make these sessions so much fun!

Barnegat Lighthouse State Park

Barnegat Lighthouse State Park has a wonderful mix of beach, dunes, trails, and jetties. If you’re looking for a combination of rustic and beach themed engagement shoot, this is the the place to be! I highly recommend checking out Barnegat’s Maritime Trail and also their historic lighthouse.

Sandy Hook

Sandy Hook is a goldmine for rustic buildings, rocky walls, jetties, and beautiful greenery. There is so much variety, that it makes sense why Sandy Hook is so alluring for a beach styled engagement shoot.

Parking is $15, so I recommend not only getting your engagement photos taken there, but also enjoy what Sandy Hook has to offer.

Here are some fun things you can do:

Regardless of what you do, Sandy Hook will forever be a favorite of mine :)

Long Beach Island

Long Beach Island (LBI) has beautiful beaches to explore - I’d highly recommend this spot if you want a pure beach styled engagement shoot. If you or a relative have a beach house located in LBI, I highly recommend you use it to have a unique and personalized engagement session :)
